More than a competition

Project Vertex is a national challenge run by a company actively building AI products. This isn't a classroom exercise — it's a real evaluation ground.

The strongest solutions are considered for continued development beyond the event. Participants get direct exposure to a real product pipeline, not just a certificate.

  • MBA / MCA
  • Any AI Builder from a recognised institution

Team Rules

Practice building, not just theory

Most institutions teach AI as theory. Very few give students the chance to practice building with it. The AI Builder Bootcamp closes that gap — three hours of hands-on practice, then 24 hours applying it to a real product.

How it works

  1. 01

    Apply & Get Builder Kit

Register your team of 3–5. Upon payment, receive the Builder Kit (prompt libraries, starter repos, UI templates).

  2. 02

    AI Builder Bootcamp

Attend the 3-hour technical hands-on session. Master the fundamentals of building with LLMs.

  3. 03

    24-Hour Product Sprint

Build a real, working product based on your chosen track. Receive engineering support during the build.

  4. 04

    Evaluation & Demo Day

Submit your prototype and pitch. Top teams present at Demo Day.

  5. 05

    Product Journey

Winning teams are evaluated for the Startup Student Factory for continued product development.

AI Builder Bootcamp

Don't just learn AI — practice it. Spend one evening mastering the fundamentals in a hands-on bootcamp, then spend the next 24 hours building a real, working product with your team.

It's Next Chapter Skills' pipeline for taking the strongest student projects beyond the challenge. The Top 10 teams from Project Vertex 2026 are considered for mentorship, technical guidance, internship opportunities, and a feature on the Next Chapter Skills Innovation Portal. Selection is an opportunity for continued development — not a guaranteed funding or hosting commitment.

Teams are scored out of 100 across seven criteria: Problem Statement, Innovation, AI Implementation, Technical Execution, UI/UX, Business Potential, and Presentation. Full breakdown is available on the Judging Criteria section of this page.

A working prototype, a GitHub repository, a presentation (max 10 slides), and a 3-minute demo video. Your presentation must include a business pitch (problem, solution, target users, revenue model, future scope) and an explanation of your AI architecture (models, tools, frameworks used).

The ₹499 fee is per team and covers: entry to the AI Builder Bootcamp (Aug 8), full 24-Hour Product Sprint participation (Aug 8–9), a Builder Kit (prompt libraries, UI templates, etc.), and Verifiable Certificates for every registered team member.

No — the Bootcamp is built for zero-experience builders. We cover the fundamentals of working with LLMs, prompt engineering, and building chatbots before you start building your product.

Teams must have between 3 to 5 members. Cross-institution teams are fully permitted. Solo registrations are not accepted. The challenge is open to engineering, degree, diploma, MBA, and MCA students.

Format and venue details are shared via email and WhatsApp after registration is confirmed. Use a valid email address and phone number when registering to ensure you receive all event communications in time.

Your Team ID is generated immediately after payment is confirmed and displayed on-screen. A copy is also sent to the team lead's email address. If you do not receive it within 10 minutes of payment, check your spam folder or contact us on WhatsApp.
